Best Chrome Extenshions for developers and designers, that make their life easy.

Since I use Chrome most of the time, I gathered 5 browser extensions which I think most Chrome users will appreciate. These extensions facilitate users in different ways, from saving our browsing sessions and managing our tabs to letting us choose hotkey shortcuts.  With the introduction of Google Chrome, the community has made some amazing extensions which are very easy to use for every day work.

FireBug Lite

This allows you to inspect the HTML, CSS, Javascript code without leaving the page. You’re also able to edit the code without any problems and test the new changes immediately.

If you use Firefox, you’ll know this is the most popular Firefox extension among web developers. For now, FireBug Lite is not as advanced as its Firefox counterpart. However, I’m sure that will change in the near future. Continue reading

Typechart – Free Resource for designer & developers to Browse Web Type, Grab CSS.

Typechart lets you flip through, preview and compare web typography while retrieving the CSS.

  • Browse typographic styles. (See “anatomy of a style” below)
  • Download CSS. { 1 }
  • Compare Windows (ClearType) rendering { 3 } with Apple font rendering { 2 }
  • Each style corresponds with a “style ID” { 4 }, which allows you to annotate prototypes and retrieve the css while coding.

Cool and lovely Icons collection for designers, for great websites.

Icons-Land seems to be a design studio which offers Vector Icons, PNG Icons, Emoticons and Custom Icon Design Service. Vector Icons are provided in Adobe Illustrator format, thus can be scaled to any size needed in design. Raster Icons are provided in PNG format in seven sizes 16×16, 24×24, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64, 128×128, 256×256. All of them are unique for being worked out in details and effects, including the smallest sizes.

Now very easy to create CSS for web with Simple Css

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a good way to specify the styles of fonts and other page elements on your sites. It makes it easier for you to update styles too, because when done right, you only need to make a single change to update the styles on multiple pages and elements.

Another bonus is that your visitor’s browser needs to load less data per page, helping you reduce your data transfer usage while serving the same information. That means you’ll be able to accommodate more site visitors without having to spend more on data transfer. Your pages will also load faster.

To help you work with CSS, we’ve created a free tool called Simple CSS, which runs on Mac OS X and Windows. Simple CSS allows you to easily create Cascading Style Sheets from scratch, and/or modify existing ones, using a familiar point-and-click interface.
